How and when do I use the honing paste on the strop?
This is almost a religious question, but we gladly take on the challenge. Watch this video where we explain exactly when and how to use the honing paste that comes with all our strops.
The honing paste contains tiny abrasive particles and when you work it into your strop, you create a kind of sharpening stone (but very fine - comparable to 50,000 JIS). You should then only use this strop when you sharpen the blade on a sharpening stone.
If you only have one strop at hand, we recommend not working the paste into it.
