Step 1: Check for transport damage

Wir haben dein Straight razor vor dem Versand geprüft und es hat folgende Anforderungen bestanden:

  • The edge does not touch the handle.
  • The blade closes centered in the handle.
  • The blade stays fixed in every position.
  • The blade is oiled and rust-free.
  • The handle has no scratches or other defects.
  • The packaging has no defects.

Bitte prüfe dies ebenfalls. Sollte eins der o.g. Punkte nicht erfüllt sein, so kann ein Transportschaden vorliegen. Für diesen Fall: Kontaktiere uns.

Step 2: Strop

Das Straight razor wurde dir entweder in Manufacturer sharpness oder Shaving sharpness geliefert. Es hat also mindestens den Haartest bestanden oder wurde von uns ein zweites Mal nachgeschärft.

The blade must be stropped before every shave to align the burr up and towards the edge.

Strop the straight razor now 50 times.

Step 3: Prepare the skin

Je nach dem, ob du nur Bartkonturen ziehen oder dich vollständig rasieren möchtest, solltest du jetzt das Rasieröl auftragen oder den Rasierschaum vorbereiten und in 5 Minuten auftragen. Auch hierzu findest du passende Videos in der Straight Razor Academy.

Step 4: Shave

  • Start with large facial areas like cheeks and neck first.
  • Tighten your skin.
  • Carefully place the blade at an angle of about 15° and pull it down parallel to the facial area.
  • Shave first with the grain and only then against it.
  • With the foam or oil, the blade should glide very easily over the skin.
  • No sawing motions.
  • Pay special attention to the tip of the blade to avoid injuries.
